DoCare is recruiting homecare workers Oxfordshire
Our award-winning company is expanding into Oxfordshire and we’re currently recruiting qualified homecare workers to help us deliver a high quality service to our new clients.
The move follows our success in being named an approved supplier by Oxfordshire Social Services. The contract will be delivered from January and we’ve already opened up an office in Witney as a base for our new team, who will be supporting a mix of private clients and those referred by Social Services in the Witney, Eynsham, Faringdon, Burford and Carterton.
“We are delighted to have been named as a supplier by Oxfordshire County Council,” said DoCare’s Managing Director Steve Mills. “We are currently recruiting a team of dedicated, experienced homecare workers and will be launching our new homecare service for older people in the Witney area in the New Year. We will build the branch up steadily, ensuring that the high quality ethos we have developed in our existing teams is transferred to the new team in Witney.”
Steve, who is also on the Board of the industry’s professional body, the United Kingdom Homecare Association (UKHCA), added: “In time, we hope to build our new team to around 20, offering support to a large client base, with a mix of both private clients and those referred by Social Services. We’re looking forward to developing relationships with local GP practices, social workers and other health professionals who also support older people in their own homes.”
DoCare was established in 2004 and has grown to a 100-strong team with six offices in South Gloucestershire, the Witney base being its seventh.
Earlier this year, one of DoCare’s Area Managers – Kerry-Ann Lees – was named Dementia Carer of the Year at the national finals of the Great British Care Awards. DoCare provides extensive training to staff, and many – including Kerry-Ann – have taken the Gloucestershire Dementia Link Care Programme to enable them to deliver expert support to clients with dementia. Recently, Steve and his wife and co-director Una were nominated for the Care Employer Award in the regional finals of the Great British Care Awards South West.
DoCare provides homecare support for adults, mainly elderly people, to enable them to carry on living in their own homes, instead of going into care or a nursing home.
